Bappeda Expects Workshop Participants to Absorp Information

Jakarta Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) hopes South-South Knowledge Exchange participants can absorb and transfer the knowledge they obtained from visiting several places in Jakarta.

Problems in each city participants are similar, such as traffic jam, housing, population density, and others

Jakarta Bappeda's Construction and Development Planning Division Analyst Staff, Intan Lestary explained, the result from this collaboration event with The World Bank will be used to enrich their knowledge, especially in making decisions, through adopting city plannings in each countries.

"Problems in each city participants are similar, such as traffic jam, housing, population density, and others," she mentioned, Tuesday (12/17).

20 South - South Knowledge Exchange Participants Enjoy the Atmosphere in Kota Tua

According to her, this workshop started from Sunday (12/15) until Friday (12/20). Some participants in this workshop came from Columbia, South Africa, Vietnam, Jepang, and Tanzania.

"We divided the participants in several groups with two destinations, Jatinegara and Kota Tua. We hope they can get information and share their knowledge how to overcome issues related to city management," she explained.
